We waited for someone to come by with the check or ask us if we wanted to go boxes but nothing.
After we were served our meals, the server staff disappeared into the nether. What is that and why in the world is it in my cup of apples people? We waited all that time for this? Also in the photo is the small cup of apples they put in the middle of the plate that had some sort of unidentified white gook carelessly slopped inside the cup. Look at the photo I uploaded and you can see. The potatoes on the side were vastly undercooked and not edible. I had to use the two slices of tomatoes on the side as added flavor in order to be able to eat the benedict. Instead, my benedict choice was substandard. Wrong choice as I should have went with the French Toast with Mom's Sassy Apples. My son ordered a Desperado skillet that he didn't care for.
When they finally sat us, they apologized for our extremely long wait almost like they couldn't believe we stayed around that long and were able to withstand their incompetence. My hungry young son and I watched as they catered to young twenty somethings walking around in their designer garb with mimosas in hand heading to the outdoor patio while we were ignored. Customers that arrived after us were seated well before us since they chose to sit outside and the staff cleared off those tables as other diners left but did nothing about clearing the inside tables. Our 20-25 minute wait turned into a little over an hour. We stood waiting and waiting and waiting some more. About 20 minutes later, we went back in the restaurant to see if they were ready to seat us yet. Since there was nowhere to sit inside to wait, we went back to our vehicle to wait. It was also supposed to tell us when our table was ready but that never happened. I also gave the employee my phone number and was sent a text from the restaurant to track our wait. our party name to put on the list and was told the wait would be 20-25 minutes. It was very busy inside and out with nowhere to sit to wait. We are a breakfast and lunch restaurant with 2 locations and catering services in DFW. On our way to the Castle Museum we decided to visit this restaurant for brunch on a Sunday.

The general manager popped round to ask how our food was - something the food service director at another restaurant never did. You can't buy enthusiasm and the staff is keen to provide top flight service. The correct order arrived (not always the case elsewhere) and it was very well seasoned, needing no help from me. THAT would have never happened in the south of France. Our server appeared within a minute, was cheerful and when I asked for a slice of lemon for my water, she got it right away. At Le Peep, we were seated and had our water and cutlery right there. a beautiful young woman escort us to our table, as did Le Peep, but that was the last time we saw anybody remotely interested in our patronage at the hotel. I compared Le Peep to a fancy French hotel restaurant I'd visited every day for a week, and Le Peep won hands down.
