In one of the previous episodes, Cisco says to New Harry that Barry was Mach 5įrom knowledge when barry was training Jessie, he slowed down to match her speed at mach 3.3, more than likely barry is pushing around mach 4-5 casually now They're gonna need a S1 style creative solution to taking him down, since I don't think any amount of training is getting Barry on Savitar's level. They're gonna have to pull out the stops to realistically defeat this guy. Even Zoom didn't outmatch Barry nearly this badly. I think Savitar really might be the God of Speed rather than an actual human based on the impressiveness of this feat. This points to Savitar being multiple dozens of times faster than Barry at least. Assuming he saw what Barry saw, at best he caught short glimpses of Savitar's form when in motion. He only saw the white lightning streaks, basically how the average person would perceive him. I'd argue he's somewhere around "Mach 28" at this point, though obviously he has dozens of feats even in a much weaker stage that dramatically exceed this number.īarry could barely perceive Savitar when he entered.
We know Barry was a good bit faster than this, since he dispatched Zoom twice pretty easily. Zoom at the end of the season was roughly "Mach 25" (12+13). That said, the "Mach Speeds" do offer a nice way to track where different speedsters stand in relation to one another. If we're gonna criticize the show for this, we can't just ignore the same problems in comics. Even in the comics all speedsters (or superfast heroes) job in this department to a high degree. For a show with a hero this fast, it's hard not to make him inconsistent. Barry at "Mach 2/3" had multiple feats in the scope of, or even surpassing, lightspeed. When this show deals in "Mach Speed", it's never realistic.
We still don't know Barry's exact speed since he emerged from the Speed Force in "The Runaway Dinosaur".
